RWA Royal West of England Academy, Queens Road, Clifton,Bristol BS8 1PX
26 March - 12 May
In this exhibition, six artists are given the space to specifically show off the breadth of possibilities offered by this versatile, age-old material. Each of them are drawn to the directness of working with the medium, disposing of the need for an intermediary - whether foundry or fabricator. With clay the artist is literally hands-on. You can move on or start again. Destroy or keep building. It can work with you or against you. Slow you down or put a fire in your belly. That is enormously refreshing (and risky) for even the most experienced practitioners.
Sunday 12 May 12:00pm
Please join me and other exhibiting artists in the Kenny Gallery show - Dreaming In Fire, for a conversation to celebrate its run at the RWA. This exhibition gives six artists space to engage the public with the breadth of possibilities offered by a versatile, age-old material: clay.

FINNSTOCKWELL STUDIO, 1 LORN COURT, LONDON, SW9 0AB
In 2004, Juliana Cavaliero and Debra Finn curated their first exhibition as Cavaliero Finn in a home in South London and they haven't looked back since.
For this exhibition, Cavaliero Finn returns to its South London roots to celebrate its 20th birthday at Stockwell Studio. The exhibition will feature a wide range of artists who have shown with the gallery during the last 20 years, including me.
Starting on the 11th of May and finishing on May 18th, 20 years of Cavaliero Finn is part of both the Dulwich Festival 2024, (which was the original launch platform for Cavaliero Finn back in 2004) and London Craft Week 2024.
